Friday 14th of June there is again concert of student orchestra De Ontzetting. This time we play mostly light music and as a soloist we have the singer Liza Meuldijk as a guest. The orchestra will be performing again in the Junushoff in Wageningen. She will sing work like I’ve got you Under my skin, The Girl from Ipanema and Fly me to the moon. The orchestra itself will play parts of the West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein.

The Kennemer Consort played on April 14th in the church of Eys, Limburg. We played compositions by Bach, Mendelssohn, Fuchs and Nielsen. It was the final concert of a terrific project in which we have rehearsed for 3 days in Teuven across the border in Belgium. Next are the autumn concerts in November, with perhaps a complete new composition. Behind the scenes there is a hard work on the new program. As soon it’s final, we’ll publish it here. So keep posted.

The premiere of the first concert together with the Ridderkerk Symphonyorchestra on May 11th was a big success. The orchestra played immerse and the audience was very excited. On to the next programs, in July a day full of chamber music, in September the presentation of a Latin Festival and in November a complete French program with compositions of Franck, Bizet and Saint-Saëns.
